阿北我開車的樂趣之一是到處尋覓美食,尤其是傳統市場附近,我專挑吃老闆職人手藝的平民美食,譬如士東市場二樓的美食街就潛藏著不少好料理。
士東市場是臺北市評鑑五星的傳統市場,有地下停車場和乾淨寬敞的洗手間,最適合成天在外頭跑的司機。
阿北吃熱炒都點什麼呢?如果預算夠,我會點每日鮮魚。今天剛好預算不夠,只點了兩樣菜和一道湯,簡單吃家裡炒不出來的鑊氣。蘿蔔湯一大碗公$80,蘿蔔給的大快飽足燉的好入味。

阿北講古:
這家在市場二樓樓梯上來轉角處的#143號攤熱炒開業多年,從前對面有個果汁攤,老闆娘冬天兼賣紅豆湯,她煮的紅豆湯最好喝了。幾年沒來,看到熟悉的老闆娘還在,可惜她說手受傷,果汁攤就收了,原本的攤位變成熱炒攤的內用座位。阿北現在都會優先選擇這種吃老闆手藝的小店,因為不知道老闆哪天休息不賣了,我就吃不到了。很多料理換雙手拿鍋鏟,味道就不一樣了。能吃到都是福。

Simple is good, Taiwanese stir-fry is the best.
Here's what I ordered:
Stir-fried beef with yellow chives
Stir-fried tofu with fermented black beans (douchi)
White radish/daikon and pork rib soup
Add two bowls of rice, total $440.

For today's fish specials please check the blackboard for choices and prices. To order, first pick your choice of fish, then choose to have your fish pan-fried or lightly braised in soy suace. Add $30 if you ask for the braised option.
